Nadia Monczak
Nomadic Violin
Violon nomade is a violin and piano recital that offers a musical journey across eras and cultures, inspired by the great tours of virtuosos who presented their own works around the world.
The program draws on Eastern European folklore, Romani influences, Italian traditions, the impressionist world, and literary works—poems and short stories. This recital evokes artistic stopovers with captivating sonorities, where the music is accompanied by narrated stories that place the audience in the context of each piece. A vibrant encounter of virtuosity, emotion, and tradition, celebrating the violin’s traveling nature, with works by Tartini, Chausson, Ravel, Respighi, Wieniawski, Bartók, Kreisler, Ysaÿe, and European folk music.
