A Multicultural Musical Dialogue Presented by Aleamusique, the concert will bring together an 11-piece string ensemble and 7 soloists in a program spanning classical music, minimalism and folk. The concert is made possible through the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Montreal, the Korwin-Szymanowski Family Foundation and the Jane Skoryna Foundation, allowing audiences to attend this exceptional event free of charge. At the heart of the program is Laudes by Norbert Pale, composed for the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis of Assisi, alongside works by Stanisław Moniuszko, Henryk Wieniawski, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Arvo Pärt, Mikołaj Górecki, Luc Plamondon, Christian St-Roch and Basia Bulat. Featured artists include violinist Isabella d’Éloize Perron, who will embark on a European tour with the Orchestre Filmharmonique in fall 2026, as well as Basia Bulat, one of the leading figures of the Canadian folk scene and a multiple Polaris and JUNO Award nominee. The concert will also feature sopranos Sydney Baedke (“rising star to watch” — Opera Canada), Karoline Podolak (recipient of the Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland) and Anne-Sophie Gagnon-Métellus, alongside violinist Nadia Monczak, who also serves as the concert’s artistic director, and singer and arts patron Pascale Bourbeau. Through a repertoire spanning different eras and styles, the concert will become a meeting point between Polish and Canadian traditions in a spirit of memory, sharing and hope.
